Museum Exhibits
The museum features a variety of exhibits. which are all there to help guests learn in an interesting way. They have a discovery room where visitors can search for real fossils, a maritime history gallery, a wood carving shop, and ever-changing virtual exhibits. Guests can go on a beautiful marsh walk along Back Creek as a way to become one with the surrounding nature. They can also check out the Estuarine biology gallery to get a look at live marine life! There are open-water, sheltering shallows, tidal tributaries, strategies to survive, and eco-invaders habitats. They also have lots of little games that guests can play to get a hands-on experience and learn more about the creatures of Chesapeake Bay.

The Cove Point Lighthouse is newly-renovated and waiting for you! This rental has year-round availability and the grounds are perfect for weddings or private events. Speaking of events, you can rent out the museum as well! It is a beautiful waterfront venue with both indoor and outdoor spaces. They are open each day from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The staff office hours include weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 for general adult admissions with special pricing for seniors, children, and military members.
