Hot & Cold
A delicious cup of cold brew coffee or cappuccino can give you the charge you need to attack your day with vigor. Adding steam milk to hot coffee drinks has been around since the 1980s, but what about cold brew? Cold foam allows you to add foam to cold brews while maintaining its firm and creamy texture. Sounds difficult, but it is actually quite simple. Follow these directions and prepare to have your life changed.
Homemade Cold Foam Recipe
For starters, to make this cold foam recipe you will need low fat or nonfat milk. The lower the fat, the better. Low fat milk creates more bubbles and thus more foam when frothing.
Ingredients / Supplies
- 1 cup of low or nonfat milk
- Blender or electric handheld frother
Instructions
- Pour milk into a glass, saucepan, or blender
- Submerge the electric handheld frother into a cup of milk for 15-30 seconds until the milk is foamy and then pour over your cold brew coffee drink.
- If using a blender, add a cup of low-fat milk to the blender. Blend for 30 seconds and serve.
